Sustainability at the KAISER GROUP

Social, societal and environmental responsibility has been an integral part of the KAISER GROUP’s operations as a family-run group of companies for many years. Our actions are based on a marked awareness of these areas of responsibility.

We have close ties with the regions where our sites are located and provide jobs with long-term prospects. As locally rooted companies, we are committed to stable locations and do not relocate them in pursuit of lower wages or more favourable working conditions. Our aim is to ensure economic success through innovation and the high level of commitment shown by our staff – always in close partnership with our customers.

For many years, we have been creating jobs for people with disabilities – both within our own facilities and in specialist organisations. In doing so, we go beyond legal requirements and focus on integration in line with individual abilities. The training of young people is a central component of our corporate philosophy. Year after year, we offer qualified and varied apprenticeships to nurture the next generation of talent and safeguard our expertise for the future.

Our corporate DNA is shaped by locally successful businesses offering location-specific products and solutions. These are produced locally and supplied primarily to national fitters. We also prioritise local partnerships with our strategic suppliers, with the aim of minimising transport distances and the associated consumption of resources. We pursue this objective equally in the distribution of our finished products.

For many years, we have been using technologies that are aligned with reducing environmental impact and are continuously working to optimise our resource consumption. Even though such investments can often only be realised in the medium term, we rely on long-term and reliable planning. Our environmental measures and developments are documented and assessed, amongst other things, as part of the EcoVadis assessment.

Our companies in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium comply with all applicable regulatory reporting requirements on sustainability. Furthermore, we NLprioritise direct dialogue with our customers in order to understand their individual needs and jointly develop solutions that take sustainability aspects into account. In doing so, we draw on recognised certifications and portals to ensure transparency and comparability.
