Cable-mate junction boxes with new cable glands
For Attema, only the best is good enough. That's why we switched to another supplier of the M20 and M25 cable glands. That means: Swiss quality, for the same price.
Why another cable gland?
The quality of the cable glands from our previous supplier did not meet our standards. We therefore decided to use other cable glands for our handy Cable-mate cable boxes. From now on, these will be supplied by our Swiss sister company AGRO. This way you are assured of high quality cable glands of industrial, Swiss quality, at the same price. Or even cheaper!
What is changing?
The cable entry range of the polyamide M20 cable gland is extended to 7.0 - 13.0 mm (was 8.0 - 13.0 mm). The range of the polyamide M25 cable gland is increased to 10.0 - 17.0 mm (was 11.0 - 17.0 mm). With these two cable glands you enter the most commonly used cable diameters in the cable boxes. It feels more solid when you mount these cable glands and also the strain relief improves significantly. However, the handy round head of the cable gland ensures that the maximum diameter of cable within the range is really the maximum.
A more economical alternative
The AK1-IP65 and AK2-IP65 junction boxes get new cable glands. Because two versions with different cable glands are combined into one version, the junction boxes with part numbers AT2271 (AK1-IP65 with 3xM20 cable gland) and AT2272 (AK2-IP65 with 3xM20 cable gland) are no longer used. This is a favourable development for the users of these junction boxes. The replacements AT2280 and AT2290 are standard priced lower!
