  • University Children’s Hospital Zurich

    Reference project
    The new Zurich Children’s Hospital is situated at the foot of the Burghölzli Hill in Zurich-Lengg. It is Switzerland’s largest hospital for children and young people and comprises two buildings: the acute care hospital and the research and teaching building.

    The acute care hospital on the southern site is a three-storey reinforced concrete frame structure with delicate timber façades that blends seamlessly into the landscape. The research and teaching building on the northern site is a cylindrical, white structure with an open, five-storey atrium at its centre. The individual areas for the research groups are arranged around this hub of interaction.
