Fire-resistant penetrations
Fire-resistant penetrations for cables and conduits: install without the mess
Fire-sealing cables and conduits without sealant, coating or other wet sealing materials? With ATTEMA fire-resistant cable and conduit penetrations, installers can create a reliable fire-resistant seal quickly and cleanly. The ready-to-use solutions are easy to fit, even when the cables or conduits have already been installed in the wall.
Fire-resistant sealing without sealant or coating
The main benefits:
- Quick and easy to install
- No sealant, coating or sealing compound required
- Clean installation without drying time
- Can be fitted during or after installation
- Suitable for new-build, renovation and modification projects
- Fewer installation steps and less risk of remedial work LS90 and RS90 fire-resistant penetrations
Two solutions: LS90 for cables and RS90 for conduits
ATTEMA offers two ready-to-use fire-resistant penetration solutions:
- LS90 fire-resistant cable penetration For fire-sealing penetrations containing electrical cables, data cables, telecommunications cables and fibre-optic cables.
- RS90 fire-resistant conduit penetration For fire-sealing penetrations containing electrical installation conduits.
Thanks to their open design, the products can be fitted easily around cables and conduits that have already been installed. This makes them suitable for initial installation as well as later extensions, repairs and modifications.
More efficient installation and maintenance
- The installer works faster and more independently
- The firestop specialist can focus on more complex seals
- The contractor retains greater control over scheduling and costs
- The client benefits from a reliable and professionally finished installation
Fire-resistant up to 90 minutes
The fire-resistant penetrations are suitable for use in fire-resistant walls rated for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The products have a classification of up to EI90/EW90 and can be used in solid and lightweight partition walls within the tested and classified applications. The solutions have been classified by Efectis in accordance with EN 13501-2. Always consult the latest classification report and installation instructions for each application. This allows you to verify that the selected penetration, wall construction, cable or conduit occupancy and installation method meet the required fire-resistance rating.
Supporting fire-safe construction in accordance with the Bbl
Penetrations must not adversely affect the required fire-resistant performance of a wall. A correctly selected and installed fire-resistant penetration helps maintain the performance of the fire-separating construction where cables and conduits pass through it. ATTEMA fire-resistant penetrations support contractors and installers in creating fire-safe installations in line with the principles of the Dutch Building Works Decree, the Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving or Bbl. The suitability of the solution must always be assessed on the basis of the specific project conditions, the required fire resistance and the applicable product documentation.
Frequently asked questions
What is a fire-resistant cable or conduit penetration?
A fire-resistant penetration seals the opening around a cable or electrical installation conduit. This prevents the penetration from adversely affecting the required fire resistance of the wall.
Can the penetration be fitted afterwards?
Yes. Thanks to their open design, ATTEMA fire-resistant penetrations can also be fitted after the cables or conduits have been installed. This is particularly useful for renovation, maintenance and extension work.
Is sealant or coating required?
No. The LS90 and RS90 are dry, ready-to-use solutions. No sealing compound, coating or sealant is required.
Which cables is the LS90 suitable for?
Within the classified applications, the LS90 can be used for electrical cables, data cables, telecommunications cables and fibre-optic cables.
What level of fire resistance do the penetrations provide?
The penetrations are suitable for fire-resistant walls rated for 30, 60 and 90 minutes and have a classification of up to EI90/EW90. Always consult the classification report for the exact conditions of use.
