Pluggable installation in concrete construction
Create installation space in precast concrete walls and floors
Fast pluggable electrical installation in precast concrete? Absolutely. Together with several industry partners, Attema has developed a practical solution: a fast installation method for precast concrete walls and floors that can deliver considerable time savings on larger residential construction projects.
Plug-in installation in concrete
Modular construction with a pluggable electrical installation
A few years ago, Attema developed Installation 2.0, a concept that enables fully pluggable installation in residential construction. This installation method uses the available space in hollow walls and suspended ceilings.
Attema now also offers a solution for concrete construction. With the new floor and wall boxes in our range, installation space can be created easily within the concrete structure. This makes it possible to create a fully pluggable installation in precast concrete walls and floors.
Benefits of pluggable installation:
- Faster and easier installation
- Fewer failure costs
- Shorter construction times
- Lower total cost of ownership
There are therefore plenty of reasons to switch to fast pluggable installation for larger residential construction projects.
Pluggable installation in concrete
Pluggable installation in concrete in three steps:
- The installation components for the walls and floors are prepared off-site.
- During the production process, the concrete factory installs the prefabricated installation components in the walls and floors.
- On site, the walls and floors are connected using the pre-installed pluggable cables. The installation is completed with a pluggable Click-mate distribution board.
Case study: De Hoop Pekso Concrete factory
De Hoop Pekso uses the ATTEMA ceiling junction box with system magnet cover for the production of precast concrete slab floors. The system magnet cover ensures accurate positioning and a neat finish of the ceiling junction boxes.
Compared with previous solutions, the system provides a cleaner and more efficient working method. The magnets can be reused easily, reducing both material loss and costs. This allows De Hoop Pekso to combine a stable production process with a sustainable and practical installation solution.

Complete concrete construction system
Efficient solutions for concrete construction
The ATTEMA concrete construction system offers complete solutions for the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems in precast and cast-in-situ concrete. Depending on the production environment and type of formwork, installers can choose between pluggable installation or fixing with pins, magnets or adhesive. Each system has been developed to reduce installation time, protect the formwork and ensure reliable positioning of the installation components. Attema therefore offers a practical and suitable solution for every concrete construction method.
Pluggable installation in precast concrete
With pluggable installation, floor and wall boxes are prepared, installed and pre-wired at the concrete factory. Once the structural shell has been erected, the installation components and wiring accessories can be connected quickly and easily using pluggable connections. This system delivers significant time savings during the finishing stage and reduces the amount of work required on site.
Penvast® concrete construction system
Penvast®: fast and efficient for repetitive work
Penvast is primarily used on the construction site and secures boxes to timber or steel formwork using pins. Measuring and drilling are only required for the first concrete pour. The boxes can then be repositioned quickly in the same locations for subsequent pours. The system prevents concrete water ingress, can be installed easily by one person and is ideal for repetitive concrete construction.Magvast® concrete construction system
Magvast®: fixation with reusable magnets
Magvast secures boxes to steel formwork using powerful magnets and is mainly used in concrete factories. No drilling is required, so the formwork remains undamaged and can be used flexibly. After the concrete has been removed from the formwork, the magnets are taken out and reused during the next production cycle.Kitvast® Betonbouwsysteem
Kitvast®: flexible adhesive fixation without drilling
With Kitvast, the boxes are fixed to the formwork using hot-melt adhesive. The system is suitable for various substrates, does not damage the formwork and leaves no visible adhesive residue in the concrete wall after removal. Kitvast is therefore particularly suitable for flexible production processes in concrete factories.Do you have a question? Schedule an appointment
