Precast wide-slab floors with integrated central box with magnetic cover
As a leading manufacturer of precast concrete floors, De Hoop Pekso has optimised its processes with the innovative solutions from Attema. Previously, De Hoop Pekso used adhesive central boxes with glue lids. Although this worked, there were disadvantages in terms of sustainability and efficiency. The switch to central boxes with magnetic lids did bring advantages, such as a cleaner working method and improved stability, but the costs increased due to the loss of magnets during demoulding.

Central box with system magnetic cover
Attema offered the perfect solution with their system magnetic cover. This innovation ensures precise alignment and a neat finish of the central boxes in the wide-slab floors. In addition, the magnets can easily be reused, which significantly reduces costs.
Central box with system magnetic cover; sustainable and cost-efficient
Jan Tabak, Technical Advisor at Attema, explains: “Our system magnet, originally developed for our HaloX® boxes, turned out to be the perfect basis for a new cover design that meets the high requirements of De Hoop Pekso. After three years of intensive development and testing, we have succeeded in delivering a product that not only contributes to a smooth finish, but is also suitable for robotised production lines in the precast concrete industry.” Thanks to the close collaboration with Attema, De Hoop Pekso can now count on a sustainable and cost-efficient production process.
