Pluggable installation

The future is plug-and-play. Simple, fast and safe.

Prefabricated, plug-in systems make electrical installation on site significantly more efficient. Modularly designed components and electric cables can be easily connected according to plan. This saves up to 70 % in time, improves safety and minimises errors. The installation remains clearly organised and easy to coordinate, even when other trades are working simultaneously. Expansions or modifications during ongoing operations are easily possible, which reduces long-term costs for operators and tenants.

Ready-to-connect distribution enclosures for cable support systems
The ‘AK2 100% plug-in’ distribution box speeds up electrical installation on and within a wide variety of cable support systems from different manufacturers. It makes no difference whether the system is a cable tray or a mesh tray – the AK2 always fits. It arrives on site as a fully assembled unit, ready for connection. All that remains is to plug the electric cables in according to the plan.

    AK2 distribution box, 100% plug-in
    • Ready-to-connect distribution boxes for the quick and safe installation of pre-assembled components
    • 3-, 4- or 5-pole variants
    • Fully equipped and pre-wired with plug connectors or as a 2- or 4-socket Schuko® socket
    • Mounting solution for all standard cable support systems (such as Niedax, OBO, PUK, Legrand, van Geel, Stago, Vergokan, Rico, Cablofil, etc.)
    • For installation connectors from all leading manufacturers
  • AK2 Modular System

The AK2 modular system covers a wide range of applications, as it offers the right solution for every installation task.
The AK2 modular system comprises base housings, front parts and attachment accessories in numerous variants. This allows individually configured housings to be assembled for plug-in electrical installations.

    • 10 break-out openings for electric cable or conduit entries
    • Includes 3 KBS 16 mm entry points and 1 shut-off slider
    • Universal mounting solution for perforated panel and clamp attachments on all standard cable support systems (such as Niedax, OBO, PUK, Legrand, van Geel, Stago, Vergokan, Rico, Cablofil, etc.)

    AK2 front parts
    • For system connectors from leading manufacturers, e.g. WAGO and Wieland
    • For 3-, 4- or 5-pole plug connectors
    • With SCHUKO® sockets in 2- and 4-way versions
    • Plug connectors and SCHUKO® sockets pre-wired
    • Front parts in different colours for easy differentiation between application areas
    • Fixing onto housing bases by simply latching on
  • Compact PD and Multi-PD distribution boxes

The ‘kompakt PD’ distribution enclosures for connector systems really come into their own in electrical installations where space is at a premium, such as in raised floors, underfloor systems or suspended ceilings. Thanks to their compact design and low design height, they take up minimal space even where room is limited.
The distribution housings in the kompakt Multi-PD series can be mechanically connected to one another. Thanks to a smooth-action catch mechanism, several housings can be linked together in a row, enabling the creation of larger distribution units. Additional fixing lugs fitted to the outside of the housing provide a practical option for wall or ceiling mounting, or for securing the housing to the floor.
Pre-assembled distribution enclosures for up to 9 outlets, as well as empty housings that can be individually fitted, are available for the kompakt PD and Multi-PD series.
  • Cleverly tested and pre-assembled

    O-range® for the electrical trade.
Often, only a tight timeframe is available for on-site electrical installation, which must also be shared with other trades such as drywall installation, plumbing and air-conditioning, etc. In such cases, pre-assembled plug-in sub-assemblies are the ideal solution, as they simply need to be plugged together and fixed on site.
An air-tight electrical installation in cavity walls can be carried out perfectly using O-range ECON® one-gang junction boxes. Available in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-gang versions, these boxes feature a large installation opening for the rapid installation of pre-wired device inserts without the need for physical separation. Optionally, plug-in separators can be used to provide standardised separation of the individual installation openings when different applications are inserted, such as power supply, data and network technology, or telecommunications systems.
Leading manufacturers, with products ranging from traditional electrical installation items such as switches and sockets to smart building control systems, already offer pre-assembled sub-assemblies. On site, these simply need to be connected via the pre-assembled plug connector, and the entire sub-assembly is then fixed to the wall using the cavity wall box’s screws.
