For luminaires, loudspeakers and installation accessories.

Light is a key design element in modern architecture. Both public and private buildings are becoming ‘smart homes’ with programmed lighting scenarios. KAISER offers a wide range of installation housings for luminaires and loudspeakers in concrete, cavity walls and ceilings, and external thermal insulation composite systems, which also meet fire safety requirements.

  • Installation without heat bridges.

Secure mounting of equipment in or on external wall insulation.
The quality of external wall insulation depends primarily on the continuity of the insulation and the prevention of heat bridges. Particular risks are posed here by extensions such as balconies or external installations such as sockets, external switches and luminaires, motion detectors, intercoms or letterboxes. In addition to significant heat loss, heat bridges can also lead to building damage caused by condensation, and even to the growth of mould that is harmful to health.

Mechanically secure and thermal-bridge-free fixing to the insulated façade is designed to provide a stable hold without damaging the insulation layer. KAISER offers a comprehensive programme of products for the secure and energy-efficient fixing of electrical appliances and components, as well as other components – including for retrofitting within or onto the insulated façade.

Composite thermal insulation systems (ETICS) are multi-layered façade structures that are now most commonly used for building insulation. KAISER products have been specially developed for ETICS and other standard systems on the market. They provide optimum and long-lasting fit within these façades without compromising the insulating effect.

Thermographic images can very quickly reveal heat bridges on existing façades. A colour scale represents the surface temperature. The yellow and red areas indicate the points where a significant amount of heat is being exchanged. The external thermographic image shows good insulation with external installation and no heat bridges. In internal images, the cold spots – i.e. the blue and dark colours – indicate the weak points in the building’s insulation.

Heat bridges are weak points in the building shell. Heat loss is significantly higher here than in the surrounding components. The better the thermal insulation of the components, the more significant the heat bridges become.

  • O-range ECON® Universal 120 installation housing

    For wall and ceiling installation
With the O-range ECON® Universal 120 installation housing, KAISER offers maximum flexibility on site. In addition to wiring for an entire room unit, it also allows for the installation of various surface-mounted or recessed installation accessories. Where necessary, the universal fixing and screw-on surface can be opened to the required dimensions, thereby ensuring the neat installation of built-in luminaires, smoke detectors and much more. It is particularly easy to install thanks to toolless electric cable and conduit entries. The sealing membranes guarantee long-term air tightness and thus an energy-efficient electrical installation in accordance with the Building Energy Act (GEG).

  • ThermoX® LED installation housing

Air-tight installation compartment for built-in LED luminaires.
ThermoX® LED is the installation housing for the air-tight installation of fixed and swivelling LED built-in luminaires in various ceiling structures. The housing protects the surrounding material (moisture barrier foil, insulation, etc.) from high operating temperatures and creates an air-tight closure. This not only prevents uncontrolled air exchange but also any resulting long-term damage, such as mould growth in the ceiling insulation.

    • For air-tight installation in insulated hollow ceilings
    • Retrofitting installation from below
    • Toolless installation of the housing
    • Guaranteed air-tight installation
    • Textured rear surface ensures optimum heat management
    • Permanent and secure fit of the luminaire within the housing

The ThermoX® LED installation housing offers a number of further advantages. Thanks to its completely air-tight design, neither dust nor dirt from the false ceiling can penetrate and impair the function of the heat sink. Combined with the thermal separation between the luminaire and the operating unit, this ensures maximum operating life.

Products for the concrete ceiling

  • HaloX® System

    For built-in luminaires and loudspeakers
The concrete installation housings provide a secure installation compartment for loudspeakers and luminaires fitted with LED, halogen or compact fluorescent lights, along with their operating units, within concrete ceilings and walls. HaloX® provides the space required for modern lighting and sound reinforcement applications. Thanks to its modular and flexible design, the HaloX® system offers a solution for almost all installation diameters and installation depths. Selecting the housings and accessories is extremely straightforward. The HaloX® enclosure system comprises the basic models HaloX® 100, HaloX® 180 and HaloX® 250, which also have a tunnel for the secure housing of operating units (e.g. LED drivers).
  • Unique opening mechanism

A unique feature is the innovative KAISER opening mechanism for inserting electrical installation conduits. This can be opened toolless using just two fingers and subsequently serves as a combination entry point for electrical installation conduits with diameters of 20 mm and 25 mm. In the event of incorrect installation, the opening can be easily resealed to be sealed against concrete. The conduit retention system is designed with maximum retention force, ensuring that the electrical installation conduits cannot slip out during the concreting process. Furthermore, the depth stop prevents the conduits from having to be shortened from the inside at a later stage.
  • Universal installation housing for concrete ceilings and walls

The universal installation housings allow many applications – for which there are typically no standard market solutions for installation in concrete – to be installed simply and securely. For example, devices such as touch panels for smart home applications can be optimally accommodated thanks to the customisable installation opening in the mineral fibreboard. The universal installation housings also always offer the perfect solution for other applications involving the control, lighting or sound systems of rooms and buildings, as well as serving as spare housings.

There are many types of luminaires and loudspeakers.

HaloX® is available for all of these.

The HaloX® concrete installation housings provide a secure installation compartment for loudspeakers and luminaires (LED, halogen, compact fluorescent) in ceilings and walls. The modular design allows for flexible adaptation to various installation diameters and depths. Easily selectable basic models (HaloX® 100, 180, 250) and accessories, including tunnels for operating units such as LED drivers, ensure modern application in lighting and sound systems.
