The fibre-optic subscriber connection for surface-mounted installation is suitable for use in existing buildings. Its compact design and discreet ‘signal white’ colour scheme allow for seamless integration into living spaces. It can be mounted on the wall or on a KAISER installation box. Alternatively, it can be mounted on the perforated plate in the multimedia distributor.

The building distribution network (Network Level 4) describes the section of the network between the building distribution board (Gf-GV) and the subscriber connection (Gf-TA) within the dwelling. In the case of detached houses, Network Level 4 is generally not applicable.

Street distribution (network level 3) refers to the access network supplied by the network operator. The network operator’s customer cables (NE 3) are terminated at the building connection point (HÜP) [alternatively: termination point (Gf-AP)]. As a rule, the HÜP is installed by the network operator. Between the HÜP and the Gf-GV, the network operator establishes a switching connection to the individual residential connections.
