Industrially prefabricated concrete panel elements are manufactured to exact dimensions and largely automatically in a precast concrete facility. The high level of advance planning, industrial prefabrication in a controlled environment, and automation during production – particularly regarding the fixing and assembly of built-in components – ensure short installation times and minimised costs. Just as the manufacture of the elements is carried out with precision, so too must the components for the electrical installation be fixed and integrated into the wall or ceiling with the same precision.

One solution for all eventualities.
The system magnets have set a new standard in automated precast concrete production for efficient manufacturing processes. This enables electrical installations to be implemented efficiently following digital planning (BIM) and thus integrated seamlessly into the precast concrete production process. With the new System Magnets (Art. no. 1299-69) or System Magnets PLUS (Art. no. 1299-70), the entire electrical installation can now be automatically integrated into the in-factory production process. Whether it’s B² one-gang junction boxes, wall and ceiling transitions, large slab ceiling boxes, or luminaire and loudspeaker housings, the new system magnets allow everything to be positioned securely and with millimetre precision. The new 48.5 mm extension element also enables the automated positioning and fixing of overhead electrical installations in solid concrete walls and double concrete walls.
The entire installation can be carried out using just one type of magnet – for automated placement (System magnet Art. no. 1299-69) or placement and removal (System magnet Plus Art. no. 1299-70)

Safe and quick connections using B² conduit connectors

For horizontal precast concrete manufacturing
The B² conduit connector range offers a secure, toolless conduit connection to the B² one-gang junction boxes, without the need for specialised tools. The conduit connection created using the conduit connector is completely sealed against concrete and reliably dampens conduit vibrations during the compaction process. As the conduit connection is made outside the B² one-gang junction boxes, no conduit protrudes into the interior of the boxes, thus eliminating the need to cut the conduit to length from the inside. With the new 90° conduit connectors, lateral conduit connections can now also be easily realised in confined installation spaces.

The new central transition casing, designed for use in in-situ concrete slabs or precast ceilings, is used to bring together conduits of different diameters at a central point. As a central feed-in point, it provides a neat transition to circuit distribution boards and cable routing systems; for example, all the supply cables required for the electrical installation of a flat can be brought together at a single transition point. B² One-Gang Junction Boxes
The new B² one-gang junction boxes for precast concrete offer plenty of space for terminals and electric cables thanks to their large volume and ease of installation. The version with a slot for the System Magnet (Art. no. 1299-69) or System Magnet PLUS (Art. no. 1299-70) is ideally suited for quick attachment to System Magnets that have already been installed automatically. Using the lateral connection points on the B² one-gang junction boxes, multiple combinations can be created quickly and easily at the standardised distance of 71 mm. The separately available conduit connectors for toolless conduit connection prevent concrete from flowing in whilst simultaneously dampening conduit vibrations during the compaction process.

The new 48.5 mm extension element for precast concrete enables the automated positioning and fixing of overhead electrical installations in solid concrete walls and double concrete walls. The integrated slot for the system magnet (Art. no. 1299-69) or system magnet PLUS (Art. no. 1299-70) provides a secure, formwork-flush hold on horizontal steel formwork used in the continuous casting lines at concrete plants. At the same time, the tried-and-tested B² push-button connection ensures a secure connection to all B² one-gang junction boxes and B² extension elements, thereby enabling top-mounted installation in walls with a wall thickness of 100 mm or more.

Large slab ceiling box 115
The large slab ceiling box is suitable for in-factory installation in prefabricated ceilings. The version with a slot for the System Magnet (Art. no. 1299-69) or System Magnet PLUS (Art. no. 1299-70) is ideally suited for quick attachment to System Magnets that have already been installed automatically. The large slab ceiling box is already integrated into the ceilings when they arrive on site, enabling rapid empty conduit installation on site. The resealable quick-release cover can be opened with a quarter-turn, thus enabling the rapid and precise creation of conduit entries using punch pliers (Art. no. 1286-33/-34).

The new end and transition bushes, as well as the 30° wall and ceiling transition 30°, 90° elbows, enable the automated positioning and fixing of conduit connections in precast concrete elements for the first time. The integrated slot for the System Adhesive Magnet (Art. no. 1299-69) or System Adhesive Magnet PLUS (Art. no. 1299-70) ensures a secure fit flush with the formwork on horizontal steel formwork used in the continuous casting lines at concrete plants. Furthermore, the new products offer alternative methods for fixing to formwork. They can be secured using hot glue, steel nails and even, for top-mounted installation in solid wall elements, using the Prefix® Universal Support Seat (Art. no. 1261-00).

Prefix® Universal Support Seat
The Prefix® Universal Support Seat enables quick and easy fitting of overhead electrical wiring in solid wall elements without the need for support elements. The support seat can be easily adjusted to the required concrete cover using a snap-in connection and attached to the new end bush and transition bush as well as the 30° and 90° ceiling transition 30°. This eliminates the need for the previously common and labour-intensive custom-made wooden fittings; disruptions to the rest of the production process are a thing of the past, and the achievement of a high-quality wall surface finish is fully guaranteed.
