Hybrid FiberManagement Plate

The FiberManagement Plate(FMP) has been developed to simplify logistical planning when installing the fibre-to-the-home network by separating the road construction phase from the final assembly of the fibre optic cables at a later stage. Cable or electric cable installers store the required excess lengths of fibre optic cable or conduits in a sturdy plastic housing that provides protection against subsequent earthworks. The buried supply sleeve complies with EN 124 standard, group 2. Reliable With the excess length stored, the connection technician can work in a protected environment. The connection engineer uses a separately available fibre management plate (FMP), which he mounts on the underside of the cover, after which he returns the excess length to the housing. This FMP is also available with a window cut-out, allowing the supply sleeve to be laid in a cascade pattern and also providing a solution for FttX situations such as on company premises, at telecommunications masts and on tracks/stations. The supply sleeve in combination with the Fibre Management Plate is protected against water damage in seven ways, making it the most reliable solution for all FttX situations. The supply sleeve is suitable for a maximum of 48 (customer) connections. Structured and protected The incoming and outgoing fibre optic cables retain their mechanical strength and watertightness up to the insertion frame. From this point, the connection technician quickly and easily inserts each stripped customer cable into a separate, flexible, watertight entry grommet with integrated strain relief. Port numbers are marked on the front and back of the frame to ensure the correct coding sequence. The strength member of the mini cable is installed in a pre-assembled strain relief. The installer then routes the electric cables and fibre optics in a structured and protected manner via the attached connections to the pre-assembled splice cassettes. Colour coding The integrated strain relief is custom-made for the diameter of the customer cable according to a specific FttH concept from the respective system integrator. Colour coding is used for this element to ensure good visibility. A universal blind plug is attached to the cable entry grommets without cables. The connection installer fixes the fibre management plate to the underside of the very sturdy cover. The O-ring sealing and flexible cable entry grommets provide the welding chamber with waterproof protection against groundwater. Sealing with IP68 up to a water column of one (1) metre is guaranteed. Thanks to the pre-assembly of the elements at the factory, the installer receives a ready-to-use unit. For even greater ease of use, combs are supplied to help sort the fibre optics before connecting them.

Notes

The cable / conduit insertion of the fibre management plate is designed for the most common cable and micro-conduit diameters on the market. In addition, the fibre management plate can be used for cascading. For cascading, the variant with window cutout (WC=window cut) is used. The sheath of the main cable is removed to the specified length, the loose wires are placed in the overlength tray of the fibre man agement plate and returned. The fibres that are spliced to customer cables in the fibre management plate can be stored in the splice cassette.
